Why aren’t the Weezle undersuits quilted?

The undersuit has been carefully designed to eliminate the need for quilting, as quilting restricts the free flow of air around the suit, making it difficult to remove during dumping as required upon ascent.

Another reason quilting has been excluded from the suit is that stitching creates cold spots at each location. By using a self-supporting filling material, the need for quilting—and consequently, the occurrence of cold spots—is eliminated.
